During in-hospital training of CardioPulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) focus lies on teaching what actions to undertake in which order when a victim suffers from cardiac arrest. However, because training dummies do not resemble the internal human body, having no functioning organs, they cannot provide medical staff with answers on what the effect of their actions is on the human body nor can they convey the tactile experience of reality of compressing the chest or providing mouth to mouth breathing. Michelle is a CPR training dummy design focussing on providing nurses, doctors and ambulance personnel with answers to those questions during CPR training and providing them with a reality based tactile experience.
